I wrote yesterday that I have been spoiled over the last year or so because my back has been so strong and without problems. I do go to the chiropractor almost 3 times a week to keep myself in alignment as much as possible, and I do get therapeutic massages a couple times a month. So I am taking care of my back but it's also been taking good care of me. After yesterday's episode, I'm not sure when I'll get my next therapeutic massage. My hunch is that my back was already a little compromised when I went yesterday and the massage just put me over the top.
So today I am doing better. But what about exercise? I think a take some short walks and see how I do. That sounds smarter than jumping on the elliptical or doing the Wii Fit. Remember the movie What About Bob and taking baby steps? I think today is a good day for baby steps.

181.2 Being Engaged!
Some days I am obsessed about writing my blog and know exactly what I'm going to write. Today is not one of those days. I cooked, as in I made something from scratch that had more that 3 ingredients, and a friend came over for lunch and I helped her with jewelry projects, and I had a therapeutic massage, and then driving home, I realized that I hadn't written a post for my dear blog today, and in about a half hour we are having friends over for a glass of wine (read water in my case) before we head out to dinner.
The good news is that I was engaged in life today rather than being engaged with my computer all day. I do think that I may have a small case of computer addiction and know that I can waste a lot of time sort of lurking on it.
There is no bad news. Being engaged in an active life with other folks is a wonderful way to spend a day.

no scale Easy Strider!
We are home and oh, does the sunshine feel good after those 3 days in cold (about 24 degrees during the day), gray, Indiana. We used to live in Indiana. In fact, we lived there for about 4 1/2 years. No, I have never missed the weather in Indiana!
I just returned from having a therapeutic massage. It does hurt, but it also helps. It loosens up those muscles of mine that want to form tight, hard, clumps all over my body. Yes, there are some things about me that are very special.:) But it really does help as do the frequent chiropractic adjustments. I was telling Jeff recently that the compliments I really love to hear are about how much better I move. I knew after my first surgery that I couldn't walk like I had before the surgery, but after a while, I thought maybe no one noticed that I didn't walk with ease. And, it always caught me off guard when I was asked if I needed help out in the grocery store. I guess I was only fooling myself.
So now that we are back home, it is time for me to get out and walk! I can, it's good for me, and, now I can walk more normally. No, I don't miss those 50 pounds, either.
